Management Information System (MIS) Coordinator PATH - Kenya
The Management Information System (MIS) Coordinator will oversee the development, implementation and operations of a Management Information System for APHIAplus Western Kenya Project. The technical position will supervise other members of the MIS team and liaise closely with the M&E team, program teams, and other NGOs involved in the DHIS2 development in Kenya. The position will report to M&E Specialist. The responsibilities include:
- Establish work plan and staffing for each phase of MIS development, and arranges for recruitment or assignment of MIS personnel in coordination with the M&E Specialist.
- Direct and coordinate activities of MIS personnel to ensure MIS success.
- Draft MIS project documents and facilitates meetings of cross-functional workgroups.
- Adhere to and lead MIS change management plan.
- Contribute to cross-learning with NASCOP, AfyaInfo and other DHIS2 developments in Kenya.
- Design and develop training for audiences with diverse backgrounds, particular with respect to MIS use, tool design and data collection processes.
- Coordinate deployment of tools used for MIS data collection, monitoring and evaluation of Zone 1 OVC and BCC programs.
- Provide mentoring and capacity building on the use and harmonization of MIS.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Ability to manage ICT projects, staff, and vendors.
- Ability to adapt a DHIS2 type platform or create a new one.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Fluent in MS Project for management.
- Familiarity with health management information systems
Required Experience:
Masters degree in computer science or equivalent with at least 5 years of relevant experience.
