The School of St Jude is a charity funded school that provides a quality FREE education to approximately 1,500 primary and secondary children from the poorest communities in Arusha.
We are currently looking for an ICT Teacher Mentor who has current experience in integrating technology across a primary school curriculum and who has developed their own personal learning network.
The school is equipped with multiple pc computer labs and is working towards having laptops for teacher use within a classroom. The vision is to have a school which is recognized as a centre of excellence for Science and Technology and one which will enable our students to become 21st Century learners.
A minimum commitment of at least 12 months is required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Work collaboratively with other mentors, teachers and leaders to help to integrate technology into classroom teaching and learning * Deliver whole school professional development to teaching staff, as well as work with small groups and provide one to one mentoring * Model the use of technology in teaching and learning across subject areas * Model good practice in all aspects of teaching * Liaise with the IT department to ensure that teaching and learning is supported by the necessary software, hardware and infrastructure. Knowledge, Skills & Attributes: * Bachelor of Education or equivalent from an accredited university * 10 years of classroom teaching experience in student-centred classrooms * Experience in integrating technology into the school curriculum * A competent user of Web 2.0. * Experience of working in limited bandwidth situations would be helpful * An ability to work flexibly, with independence, patience, reflection, and with a focus on mentoring * Integrity, open-mindedness and adaptability necessary to live and work in a developing country * Strong inter-personal and communication skills

Stipend:
