The Communications Division (COM) of the International Fund for Agricultural Development (IFAD) is inviting experienced media and communications training companies with proven experience in the United Nations/international financial institutions and the private sector to submit applications of interest to provide media training and coaching to IFAD staff, including senior officials, at headquarters in Rome, Italy as well as in IFAD country offices located in developing countries. IFAD is seeking to establish a roster of media and communications trainers who are able to tailor and deliver different modules of individual and group media training and coaching sessions ranging from one day to one week in length.
Applicants familiar with rural development issues and a clear understanding of media trends in specific regions (Asia and the Pacific, East and Southern Africa, Near East and North Africa, Latin America and the Caribbean, West and Central Africa) will be expected to facilitate:
- Media trainings that cover the broad spectrum of communications, including basic media training; first response training; crisis communications and social media
- Tailored thematic media trainings (for example: rural finance; food security; private sector partnerships; gender)
- Training of media spokespersons
