Our partner is a large international NGO that focuses on health and humanitarian crises. A Country Finance Director is needed at the Country Office in Kenya. The role will be based in Nairobi with regular trips to the rest of Kenya and Somalia.

£36-37K + Accommodation + Benefits

Candidate

Essential:

 Experience of financial management with an international NGO in an overseas setting.  Qualified accountant ACCA, ACA, CIMA, CPA etc  Strong knowledge of financial systems and implementing internal controls  Experience of pro-actively monitoring and reporting on budgets  Proven experience of analysing financial information to understand the current situation and to determine a plan of action  Proven experience of introducing and managing changes to finance systems, procedures & practices.  Proven understanding of financial security issues and how to develop appropriate guidelines  Good experience of managing a team  Significant experience of training/capacity building.  Proven admin skills.  Experience of establishing strong working relationships with colleagues from different functions and cultures.  Experience of prioritising a high workload & multiple tasks with tight deadlines

Desirable:

Qualifications, experience and competences

 Experience & understanding of working in a donor environment and complying with donor requirements.

 Familiarity with mid-level accounting systems (e.g. Sage, PS Financials etc).
