DCA is working with local partners to assist the poorest of the poor with a focus on combating hunger and working for peace and reconciliation. Our development and humanitarian projects are part of long term programmes and depend on a variety of donors, incl. Danida, ECHO and EuropeAid.
The South Sudan & Kenya Office has 16 staff members. The DCA Office in Juba has 14 staff members we have a small satellite office in Nairobi with 2 staff members.
The main responsibilities of the Finance Coordinator are:
- Ensure full overview and high quality of all DCA programme and project finances, incl. financial monitoring of projects and programs in cooperation with program officers as well as quality assurance of partner project budgets and financial reports
- Monitor, support and capacity building of partners, incl. assessment of financial and administrative capacity of partners
- Ensure that DCA financial and administrative procedures and guidelines are followed as well as securing compliance with donor rules and regulations
- Maintain and improve systems for Human Resource Management
- Supervision of two finance and admin officers
We are looking for a colleague with the following qualifications - At least five years experiences in financial management including external audit and grants management, preferably working with international non-governmental organizations in financial planning and monitoring of development and relief projects
- Relevant academic degree in Finance and/or Accounting, minimum at Bachelor level
- Preferable knowledge of Human Resources Management
- Good coordination, facilitation and coaching skills
- A team player with an open, humorous disposition
- Excellence in English, oral and written
DCA offers: 24 days annual holiday, comprehensive insurance and pension and 45 hours working week incl. lunch. Salary according to experience and qualifications. All terms and conditions are as stipulated in the South Sudan Labour Law as well as DCA Staff Manual for South Sudan & Kenya.
