Temporary University Teacher in African History (0.8 fte)

£30,870 - £35,789 pa (pro rata)
You will be able and willing to teach and supervise in the broad field of African History, including twentieth century history. Experience of teaching at undergraduate level in a UK HEI is essential. You will be teaching modules HIST314 Postcolonial Africa and HIST356 West Africa in the Twentieth Century: Government, Labour and Production. You may also contribute to other teaching at all the levels in the School of Histories, Languages and Cultures. This may include contributions to team-taught modules including contributions to methodological and historiographical courses outside your area of specialism. You should have a PhD in History and a developing research track record in the field. The post is available until 30 June 2012 on a 0.8 FTE basis.
