Partners In Health seeks to recruit competent and dynamic nationals to fill the position of a Training Operations Coordinator.
POSITION: Training Operations Coordinator

LOCATION: Kayonza, Kirehe, Burera
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
Overall goal:
Work with the District Project Manager (DPM), District Clinical Director (DCD), Co-Directors of Department of Medical Education and Training (DMET), and district-based program leaders, in collaboration with Ministry of Health (MOH) partners, to develop, implement and assess a training work-plan for Butaro Hospital, Rwinkwavu and Burera District supported health centers. This includes ensuring that quality trainings are appropriately planned and delivered, and that training materials incorporate adult learning methodologies and meet district training goals. In addition, the Training Operations Coordinator will work with counterparts in Kirehe and Southern Kayonza to ensure high-quality trainings across IMB and will directly supervise the Hospitality Officer.
Task and responsibilities:
- Ccollaborate with relevant MoH/IMB program leaders to develop and implement a training work-plan and budget for Butaro Hospital and Burera-supported health centers.
- Support cross-site training initiatives and to build a high-quality IMB-wide training program through ongoing communication with Training Coordinators in Southern Kayonza and Kirehe and with the Co-Directors of DMET.
- Work closely with the Curriculum and Training Specialist and relevant MOH/IMB partners to prepare and develop materials for trainings and presentations, facilitate discussions with departments and trainers regarding learning methodologies and materials, mentor and develop a cadre of trainers, conduct focus groups, pilot curricula, etc.
- Work with the Curriculum and Training Specialist and relevant MOH/IMB partners to collect training materials used in the district, creating a Burera Training Library.
- Strengthen monitoring and evaluation (M&E) of training activities by working the relevant MOH/IMB partners to develop and implement training evaluation tools and ensure a feedback loop that shares key data with relevant program leaders.
- Directly supervise the Hospitality Officer in all logistics related to the Training Center and Hospital training facilities, including oversight of support staff, as well as materials’ preparation, cash disbursements, transport fees, collecting and entering pre/post scores, reporting, etc.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:
The following knowledge, skills and abilities are required for the job:
- A0 or A1 nursing qualification and at least three years’ nursing experience;
- At least 2 years’ experience in clinical training or mentorship;
- At least 1 year management or supervision experience;
- Fluency in English, proficiency in French;
- Experience using MicrosoftWord, Excel, Internet Explorer;
- Strong organizational skills;
- Strong written and oral communication skills;
- Commitment to social justice and/or public health;
