We are seeking an experienced individual to be responsible for supporting project finance operations through giving direct technical support and training to project staff.
This role involves frequent travel to three field sites to conduct training of finance and non finance staff in budgeting, budget tracking, balance sheet management and monitoring compliance with donor and internal financial policies and procedures. The AFM will be heavily involved in the financial management (budgeting process and reporting) of the grants we receive from a wide range of institutional donors including ECHO, EU, DFID and others.
You will have a graduate degree in related field (Accounting) and / or a professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, CIMA or CPA with proven experience in overseeing financial and administrative systems of a large project in an INGO environment. You will demonstrate initiative, problem solving and good decision making abilities and have experience of designing & implementing finance systems. You will be a team player who is both adaptable and flexible, with excellent written and verbal communication in English. You will have strong organisational skills, and have an aptitude for attention to detail.
