Full Time : The appointment will be on UCL Grade 8. The salary range will be £39,668 - £46,822 per annum, inclusive of London Allowance.
The aim of the REMoxTB trial is to test a treatment shortening regime for TB which will cut the treatment time by six weeks to four months. REMoxTB is a global trial. It is enrolling 1900 patients from sites in Africa, India, China and SE Asia. The trial is managed in partnership with TB Alliance, a US NGO and the MRC Clinical Trials Unit London. TB Alliance who is the Sposor for the trial and has contracted much of the trials operational activities to the global CRO Pharmanet. The conduct of the trial is regulated by US Food and Drugs Administration and German Regulator Bfarm with a requirement to conduct the trial to ICH GCP.
The main purpose of the post is to ensure adequate reporting systems and policies are in place to fulfill UCL's obligations in the global conduct and progress the study, to represent UCL's interest in all operational matters to the Trial partners and to be the primary contact at UCL for the overall management of the Trial.
The post is initially available for one year.
The successful applicant will have a relevant degree and knowledge of the management of clinical trials. They will have good knowledge of ICH GCP and experience of training clinical trials staff. Experience of managing clinical trial sites in developing countries is desirable.
