Specifically, the Senior Technical Architect will assist the Chief Enterprise Architect to:
• Develop the technical architecture strategy for the World Bank through definition of architecture solutions, patterns, and strategy as well as technology trends, technology standards, and application development.
• Work to and refine a set of architecture principles by which the organization defines and measures behaviors and activities.
• Develop a set of technology standards.
• Work within a defined IT governance process and work to refine and improve that process.
• Help develop and analyze a high-level representation of the current state of the technical architecture at the World Bank
• Develop a gap analysis for the technology architecture at the World Bank.
• Develop and recommend a future state for the technology architecture at the World Bank that is aligned with business needs and strategy.
• Propose an implementation plan towards moving from current technical architecture towards the future state.
• Evaluate and anticipate impact of technical solutions on related projects and existing or future architecture.
• Be responsible for reviewing and approving technical projects and designs for any new system development and ensure adherence to strategic direction.
• Provide strategic consultation to clients and IT senior management in defining and understanding the business environment and processes, recommending IT solutions of enterprise-wide systems or processes.
• Provides technical leadership, coaching and mentoring to team members/peers.
