Our Client Wispro (U) Ltd is one of the leading Skin Care and Cosmetics Manufacturers in Uganda. They require a Sales Merchandiser to provide service and maintain a good working relationship with retail outlets.
The position requires an individual that has strong selling and interpersonal skills. The successful candidate will ensure maximisation of sales and increase in sales volume through execution, education, and promotion.
This is a key role reporting directly to the Sales Manager.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Responsible for deciding which goods to stock in which shops and how they should be displayed.
- Analyse sales information, work out sales targets and plan how to increase profits.
- You will also negotiate a price, order the goods, agree a delivery date, complete all the necessary paperwork, and keep in touch with suppliers to make sure that the goods arrive on time.
- Plan and set up sales promotions and advertising campaigns.
- Travel to different shops to discuss how well stock is selling, and make decisions about whether to withdraw, increase or move it to another shop.
Qualifications:
- University degree in any field.
- Mathematical ability - to work out budgets and understand sales figures
- Customer awareness
- Business awareness and negotiation skills
- Highly motivated, proactive and enthusiastic
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to plan and coordinate
- Creativity
