TITLE: Gulf Retail Sales & Marketing Lead
LOCATION: Dubai, UAE
Executive Summary
The vision of the Retail Sales and Marketing Division is to create end-to-end platform customer scenarios while generating profitability and high customer satisfaction. To achieve this we must market and sell products that enable consumers and small businesses to learn, have fun, and get things done. There is specific emphasis on developing, growing and optimizing the retail channel for Microsoft products.
The S&M lead manages the retail consumer business in market to maximize revenue and profit and drive organizational and leadership capabilities to successfully meet growth goals in units, revenue and profit for the next 3-5 years (long term strategic framework for success). Under her/his direct leadership retail sales performance and end-to-end marketing excellence are achieved for the following product groups:
Interactive Entertainment (Xbox Gaming business)
PC Hardware Devices (Retail Hardware business )
Windows (retail execution of Windows platform software and PC aisles)
Office (retail execution of Office and Office Mac software and PC aisles)
As part of the Retail Leadership Team she/he is responsible for creating country or regional business and partner strategies through strong understanding of local market dynamics and partners, the competition and the product group objectives and strategies. She/he is leading the translation of retail strategy into execution and successful implementation in their market or region. This will be achieved in coordination with our EMEA HQ, corporate product groups (BGs) and the International organization through the planning, execution, management and monitoring of our business.
Responsibilities
The Retail S&M lead will be directly responsible for the retail strategy and implementation plans to translate the regional growth scenarios of our existing product groups into execution.
Plan:
Develop regional sales & marketing plans for each of our BG partners and in alignment with SMSG & COI
Actively expand the planning process to include OEM@Retail accountabilities
Develop effective planning across our core WW & regional retail accounts
Industry Leadership & Participation
Execute:
Meet Volume & Profit targets
Successful execution of Service Level Agreements
Ensuring transparency of performance against targets and accountability
Manage:
Develop Regional People plans & implement talent programs
Develop growth plans & stretch assignments for Direct Leadership Team
Attract & retain great talent, foster cross-country and cross-organizational talent moves
Monitor:
Deliver consistent scorecards across all business & regions
Manage the organizations rhythm of the business to provide visibility for each of our BG partners
Strong engagement with Regions
Reporting The role will have a direct reporting line to the Gulf Consumer Channels Group Lead with a dotted line to the RSM MEA Regional Director.

Educational Requirements
BS/BA degree in Business, Finance, Communications, Marketing, Information Technology, Masters Degree is a plus
12-15 years experience as a sales manager especially in retail sector
Multi-year experience selling & marketing through retail and distribution channels to the consumer market.
Experience in consumer electronics and/or gaming industry is a strong plus.
Experience gained in the G&Ulf region is an advantage
