Forum for Women in Democracy (FOWODE) is a national women’s nongovernmental organization based in Kampala
FOWODE wishes to fill three posts in» the organization and is seeking applications. Below are the posts and the requirements:
PROGRAM OFFICER, MONITORING AND EVALUATION
Job Purpose:
The monitoring and evaluation officer plays a big role in ensuring the results of the work the organization does are captured, entered into a system and retrieved for sharing with all stakeholders. It involves developing and guiding related activities of the overall FOWODE ME Plan.
The officer provides timely and relevant information to improve FOWODE’s programming.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Design a Monitoring and Evaluation system for the organization
Develop a monitoring and evaluation plan and monitoring tools to actualize the plan
Establish and manage a filing system for M and E documents
Enter data into and analyze information from the ME system for use throughout the organization.
Train/coach staff and relevant stakeholders in data collection and use of monitoring tools.
Provide technical assistance to staff on participatory monitoring methodologies with stake holders/program beneficiaries.
Participate in the preparation of periodical reports e.g. annual, quarterly, monthly, and weekly work plans and reports.
Track the submission of progress reports from different programs
Prepare M&E reports highlighting the gaps and changes accruing from the different activities.
Review, monitor and analyze reports for impact evaluation.
Work with the team to establish the required material resources to carry out planned activities and include them in the M and E budget and plan.
Requirement:
Experience, Skills & Competencies:
At least 3 years working experience in a non governmental organization
At least 2 years technical experience in the field of monitoring and evaluation
Experience in designing, planning and implementing ME systems.
Clear thinking with conceptual and analytical skills
Some experience in conducting qualitative and quantitative surveys.
Interpersonal skills.
Facilitation/Training skills.
Data analysis and Report writing skills.
Computer literacy with working knowledge of Microsoft office(excel), MIS, HIS, GIS and D-Base
Salary: - USD/month
