Position Overview:
Glaceau is one of the 3 legacy brands for the Olympics 2012 and the global vision is to establish glaceau as the ‘Coca-Cola of Stills
The opportunity of the Olynpics provides is to ensure glaceau performance across NWEN is significantly step changed over the next 3 yr driving brand scale and brand engagement to consumers and our customers.
This role will be responsible for the delivery of the Glaceau Global Olympic charter and the delivery of the Olympic legacy across NWEN – a key part of the glaceau NWEN 3yr business plan.
KEY DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1) Delivery of Olympic Legacy for NWEN 2012 – driving step changing & inspiring plans for Glaceau.
Deliver the Glaceau Global Olympic Charter.
Delivery of full Olympics plan with clear roadmap and kbis defined between NWEN and Glaceau Global & Olympics Team & CCE.
3) Franchise Leadership.
As key member of the Glaceau NWEN team drive strong collaboration with NWEN CCE senior teams to ensure engagement, signoff and ongoing commitment to support the Glaceau Olympic Plan.
4) Innovation & Change – EU & Global Charters
Lead the development of Glaceau Olympic product and pack innovation across NWEN with full execution plan developed and implemented.
5) Global Marketing Lead Responsibilities
Lead the development of the Glaceau global charter with Glaceau global Olympic lead to ensure delivery of step changing consumer engagement and customer execution plans.
Responsible for developing a global Glaceau Olympic goal and ensure development of step changing plans for execution across NWEN markets.
6) Category, Consumer & Customer Leadership
Responsible for driving consumer insight & understanding of Glaceau and Olympics to ensure the development of a highly motivational and engaging Olympic CCI, Communications & IMC Plan.
Drive leadership and engagement of Glaceau Olympic plans with key contacts across the system. Key contact to include Glaceau Global, NWEN Marketing & Olympics Leadership Team, NWEN x-system Glaceau Team, CCE GB Glaceau Sales & Ops Head, CCE Marketing Operations Director, Key CCE Trading Team and Olympic legacy (Top 10) customers.
7) External Stakeholders Leadership and Engagement.
Leadership in development of Olympic partnership relationship to deliver Glaceau Olympic plans ambitions with key NWEN and priority market customers.
Leadership in relationship with key Olympic stakeholders i.e.: LOGOG,
8) Glaceau Team Leadership
Responsible for leading the Olympic legacy plan for Glaceau team and driving inspiration, support and involvement of the Glaceau NWEN team to ensure delivery of plans across key NWEN markets driving consumer engagement and customer execution.
9) Global Glaceau Engagement Leadership
Drive communication & collaboration with following teams to ensure NWEN Glaceau Olympic success:-
o Glaceau Global, Glaceau North American teams, other key Glaceau global markets i.e.: Japan, China, and Canada.
FINANCIAL/ JOB SCOPE:
Accountable for delivery of :-
Olympic plan as part of the Glaceau 3yr plan to deliver step changing volume and profit performance ie: c15- 20mucs and be the No 1 most gross profitable brand across NWEN system. (c£4/case = c£60-£80m gross profit.
Responsible of the Olympic Marketing Budget (Budget TBC c £10-15m over 2 yrs)
Key accountability to drive leadership and collaboration with NWEN x-system teams of the Olympic plan including key engagement with NWEN glaceau & Global teams, NWEN CCE & Bottler Teams plus at an individual country level with the following key contacts in CCE and Nordics Bottlers.
Key accountability to drive delivery with key customers across NWEN and individual priority customers across key countries. Drive engagement through Bottler, Global and EU Customer Commercial Groups.
ORGANIZATION IMPACT/ INFLUENCE:
High level interaction with the following to ensure delivery of Glaceau Olympic ambitions:-
NWEN Leadership team ,NWEN Glaceau Head, NWEN Marketing & Olympics Director, NWEN Operational Directors, CCE Marketing & Operational Directors, CPAC Directors.
Glaceau Global Team –, Director of Brand Marketing, Director of Commercial leadership, VP of SRA, Global R&I Director..
All key agency senior leads to ensure deliver of key Olympic strategies i.e.; Media Planning & Buying, PR, Experiential, Social Media and creative agencies.
Olympic Engagement – key contacts include: Olympic General Manager and Olympics Marketing Director, Global Sports and Entertainment Leadership Team.
Nature and purpose of interaction with the above will be frequent across key areas of NWEN, CCE, Global and Olympics to ensure delivery of Glaceau Olympic plans.
Key member of the Glaceau NWEN marketing team & x-system team and Olympics Marketing Team.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Key member of the Glaceau NWEN marketing team & x-system team and Olympics Marketing Team.
RELATED JOB REQUIREMENTS/ QUALIFICATIONS:
- Min 8-10 yrs commercial and marketing experience with leadership experience in the following:
- Consumer marketing – strategic consumer planning and development
- Franchise leadership with executional experience either customer, trading and or category.
EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelors Degree
CULTURAL DIVERSITY:
NWEN Role results in country by country variances.
Involved in driving execution of Olympic glaceau plan across markets (outside NWEN) so exposure to many forms of cultural variances from across globe i.e. South Africa, Australia, and Far East & North America.
ANALYSIS:
This role is a new role as part of the new NWEN structure. Challenges will be to define and lead new process for ways of working across NWEN team and NWEN x-system Glaceau team, Global Glaceau and the Olympics Team to ensure step changing plans are delivered for Glaceau and Olympics.
JUDGEMENT AND DECISION MAKING:
Responsible for leadership, development and execution of the Olympic plans. Final singoff of plan with NWEN Glaceau Head, Glaceau Global and M&O leadership Team.
TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:
Min 10% travel – overnight or one day trips to NWEN countries.
Travel to key NWEN markets for Glaceau x-system team meetings & development of galceau Olympics Plan including rotation across GB, France, Belgium, Sweden, Norway, Holland.
Travel to key global Glaceau markets to drive engagement and execution of glaceau Olympics plan ie: North America, Other EU countries.
