This is a volunteer assignment under the Australian Volunteers for International Development program, an Australian Government, AusAID initiative. Airfares, living allowances, accommodation, insurance and other support is provided through the program.
UNAIDS, the joint United Nations Program on HIV/AIDS, brings together the resources of the United Nations to unite the world against AIDS, prevent new HIV infections and mitigate the impact of the epidemic.
Kenya has 1.6 million people living with HIV and approximately 200 new infections occur each day. UNAIDS is seeking an Australian Volunteer to support its work with the National AIDS Control Council in Kenya, in the area of monitoring and evaluation.
The volunteer will support UNAIDS to integrate monitoring & evaluation into planning and governance processes and assist with hotspot mapping of at-risk populations.
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in monitoring, evaluation and reporting
- Experience conducting statistical analysis
- Understanding of software applications such as Epi-Info
- Self awareness, cultural sensitivity, flexibility and adaptability, resilience
To be eligible, applicants must be 18 years and over, Australian citizens or permanent residents, or New Zealand citizens with Special Category Visas.
