The National University of Rwanda wishes to recruit Monitoring and Evaluation Officer. The ideal candidates should have a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Business Administration with at least three year working experience. The successful candidate will be given a two year renewable contract.
Key functions of the staff are to teach the following modules:
- Carry out an initial risk assessment across all faculties, centres, schools and directorates, to understand what risks current exist at NUR.
- Prepare a risk matrix for NUR, after the initial assessment. The matrix should include the risk likelihood and its impact.
- Rank and prioritise the identified risks in order of significance (likelihood and impact), so that management can decide the order in which the risks shall be addressed.
- Keeping abreast with the latest trends in risk management field, through continuous contacts with relevant bodies and organizations.
- Liaison with other functions within NUR (e.g. Internal Audit), whose duties have lose links to Risk management.
- Other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Monitoring and Evaluation, from time to time.
Other competencies:
- A good command of English.
- Minimum of 3 years working experience.
- Working experience within NUR administration would be an added advantage.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Working knowledge of “Microsoft office suite”.
- Acceptable reference from the previous employer.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision.
