Right To Play is seeking qualified candidate for position of FINANCE /Admin OFFICER, the position is open for (national South Sudanese) only.
(6 months effective from Jan/2012)
Key responsibility and tasks
a) Holds the primary responsibility for assisting program staff in the preparation of proposal and operational budgets.
b) Prepares payroll and monitors salary advance reimbursements.
c) Identifies financial tracking and analysis tools as needed to support decision-making and on-going management review; conceptualize and produce those tools.
d) Supervises all cash disbursements, banking reconciliation, accounts payable and payroll and ensures that there are adequate controls over cash and bank holdings, also performs monthly petty cash count;
e) Performs year-end financial statements, arrange and ensure their compliance with Right To Play and donor requirements;
f) Monitors financial reports and project cost reports/invoices against budget and contract requirements and for accuracy and consistency and alert management team to necessary contractual or management actions based on that review;
g) Timely review of the field office monthly financial reports (verifying the coding, arithmetical accuracy, documentation, authorization) and subsequent feedback to ensure timely submission to Regional Finance Officer ;
h) Support in capacity building of staff, local partners in financial management & accountability to ensure compliance with RTP policies
i) Ensures that Right To Play complies with all Government statutory regulations, including licensing and insuring of vehicles; payment of taxes (P.A.Y.E) and social security fund and to ensure timely submissions of such deductions to the relevant authorities.
IIII. QUALIFICATIONS
A) EDUCATION/TRAINING/
· Must possess a Bachelors degree in Finance or Accounting and a full accountancy qualification such as CPA, ACCA or CIMA with a minimum of 5 years experience in a similar role and experience
· Extensive experience in financial management of institutional donor contracts, proposal review and development, management reporting and review.
· Proven experience in use of financial management software, strong analytical abilities, and ability to prepare concise and informative financial reports.
· Good professional verbal and written communication skills, fluency in English
