DUTIES:
To ensure compliance with the basic standards contained in the FARM-Africa finance

To be responsible for the development and implementation of the communications, dissemination, publication and advocacy strategies of the Tanzania Smallholder Sesame Production and Marketing Project (TSSPMP) Phase II.
DUTIES:
To ensure that there is an effective advocacy strategy that empowers sesame producers to amplify their voice and influence policy and practices that negatively impact on them (40%).
To ensure that there is an effective, coherent and uniform communication and publications strategy that promotes the visibility of the project (45%).
To ensure the effective and successful planning, budgeting, monitoring and management of policy communications and dissemination engagements work in the project (10%).
To play an active role as a member of the project team (5%).
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES
• Relevant diploma level qualification e.g. ICT, graphic design, journalism
• Knowledge of Tanzanian radio, print & TV media
• Proficiency in design & editing software
• Experience of policy influencing and advocacy work

ROLE: To be responsible for all sesame value addition and marketing activities of the FARM-Africa’s Tanzania Smallholder Sesame Production and Marketing Project (TSSPMP) Phase II.

In liaison with other project staff, to develop an effective and coherent plan for the sesame value addition and marketing component of the project (10%).
To ensure the effective and successful planning, budgeting, management and implementation of sesame value addition and marketing component of the project (65%).
To build the capacity of the sesame producer groups to develop profitable and sustainable markets for sesame (20%).
To play an active role as a member of the project team (5%).

DUTIES:
To manage the project in accordance with project documents, work plans and budgets and ensure that work is consistent with FARM-Africa’s strategies and the conditions of donor contracts (50%).
To line manage the project staff (25%).
To manage and nurture mutually beneficial partnerships with other stakeholders (15%).
To keep abreast of relevant changes in government policy that could affect the project (5%).
To play an active role as a member of the FARM-Africa Regional team (5%).

• Bachelor degree in a relevant agriculture/natural resource subject
• Experience of working with commercial enterprises
