Digital Content Manager
RESPONSIBLE FOR developing and producing digital content for the Foundation’s website and other digital channels. Reports to Head of Communications.

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE OF POSITION To support IKEA Foundation management by planning, creating and delivering effective and innovative digital communications materials to promote the Foundation’s mission and image. The successful candidate will work with Foundation staff and grantees to create innovative, inspiring and effective communication activities that build awareness and support for our work.
This role will take ownership of the Foundation’s website and social media channels.
This position is PART TIME and will be based at the Foundation’s headquarters in Leiden, The Netherlands – with possibility of some telecommuting. Local candidates ONLY, please.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES • Implementation of the Foundation’s annual Communication Plan throughout our digital channels. • Primary producer and editor of website content, ensuring content is accurate, consistent, and aligned with the Foundation’s brand. • Manage the Foundation’s social media campaigns. • Develop and write content for other online channels, including videos, e-newsletters. • Maintain and update the Communications Calendar for all digital content. • Coordinate production of web and other digital content for IKEA companies. • Plan and generate ideas for new online content, activities and technologies. • Create and implement web and digital content guidelines. • Apply best practices for web development, SEO, web and social media performance metrics, and content management. • Other duties as assigned.
Experience • University degree or similar in relevant area (e.g. communications, digital design, advertising) • MANDATORY: 5+ years of experience managing websites and developing web content • Excellent understanding of web planning, CMS, and web metrics • Strong understanding of social media platforms and practices • Experience managing and producing a variety of digital content and collateral (online brochures, slideshows, videos, podcasts, blogs, etc) • Experience writing copy for web pages and digital collateral • Basic proofreading and editing skills • Ideally, experience working at a global NGO, foundation or development/aid agency
