Plan has been working in Rwanda since 2007 and now has operations in the Eastern Province districts of Gatsibo and Bugesera. The support office is in Rwamagana while the country office is in Nyarutarama - Kigali.
Plan Rwanda is expanding its activities in the district of Nyaruguru, South province.

To facilitate the implementation of its activities, Plan Rwanda wishes to recruit qualified and well experienced candidates of Rwandese Nationality to fill the following position:

Job Summary:
Responsible for assisting in identifying and registering food aid beneficiaries according to set criteria and procedures, distributing food to registered beneficiaries in an orderly and controlled manner, ensuring that each beneficiary gets correct quantities of food rations and signs for food received in the appropriate register. Incumbent will keep accurate records of food distributions, compile and submit daily and monthly reports.
Key responsibilities:
- Mobilizes and creates awareness among local leaders and communities on food aid activities.
- Assist schools in identifying, registering and verifying food aid beneficiaries according to set criteria and procedures.
- Facilitates formation and training of Food Distribution Committees at every Final Distribution Point (FDP).
- Ensures that all beneficiaries get correct quantities of food rations and signs for food received in the appropriate register.
- Keep proper, complete and accurate records of food distributions.
- Submits accurate and complete daily and monthly reports on food distributions timely.
- Monitors food usage and impact and changes in food security situation, which may lead to revised recommendations for assistance.
- Networks with other stakeholders, e.g. local leaders, Government departments and other NGOs in the area to synchronize activities.
- Maintains Plan assets assigned to him/her in good order, e.g., motorbike, food distribution utensils.
- Maintains a proper complete and accurate log book for motorbike and fuel usage in accordance with Plan policy and procedures.
Qualifications and experience:
- Degree or Diploma in a development related discipline, e.g. rural development, education, agriculture etc.
- Minimum of 2 years extensive experience in development work at grassroots level.
- Experience in emergence/relief programs will be an added advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Computer literacy in Excel and Word.
- Must hold a valid motorcycle license (class A).
