GAIN is currently building a constituency mobilization campaign to raise public and political will for nutrition. As a part of the Policy and Advocacy team, we are looking for an Associate, Constituency Mobilization, to provide operational support including donor outreach and management, grassroots supporter engagement, campaign reporting, and support to GAIN’s advocacy efforts.
The Policy and Advocacy team is critical to achieving GAIN’s vision. Global and national advocacy efforts to improve policies and increase and better leverage resources will enhance the effectiveness and reach of nutrition interventions.
As Associate, Constiuency Mobilization, you will provide donor outreach, operational management and policy and advocacy support including:
- Development of supporter/donor materials, including website content, marketing materials, etc.
- Manage the donor and supporter database for GAIN’s Future Fortified campaign
- Assist with the management of the Future Fortified website and social media feeds, including content development, execution and troubleshooting
- Serve as the first line of outreach and response to grassroots supporters, answering all enquiries and providing general administration related to all donations
- Assist in the planning and execution of policy and advocacy events, including Congressional Briefings, high level meetings (e.g. UN Week, World Economic Forum, Davos) and bi-annual GAIN Board Meetings
- Support the campaign advocacy efforts, including website content, factsheets, and engagement opportunities for partners and supporters
- Research and develop persuasive and well-written advocacy communications materials
- Identify and track emerging issues and specific pieces of legislation as they move through the House and Senate
- Map and prioritize key stakeholders within the global health advocacy community
- We are seeking candidates with donor management experience, high quality customer service abilities, and preferably experience in tracking and managing finances.
You will have a Bachelors or Masters Degree in communications, public relations, public policy, administration or a suitable equivalent.
Fluency in English is essential with a second language highly desirable, especially French or Spanish.
