Minimum requirements
• Doctorate degree or relevant equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering preferably in the field of Clinical Engineering.
• Indication of interest in research and academic publications.
• A minimum of five years teaching and research experience at tertiary level involving post graduate research supervision.
• Experience with regards to management of academic matters, quality of program, student affairs, human resources, facilities, finances, research projects.
• Supervisory experience in industry and/or academic fields.
• Experience of research and monitoring of post graduate students is recommended.
• Registration with ECSA, SAIEE is recommended.
Core functions
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
• Presenting lectures and assessing students in related subject.
• Be an active participant in the research activities of the department.
• Involvement in community service project
• Responsible for administrative tasks related to teaching and learning
• Industry liaison and involvement in the development of the new curriculum.
