Mobile Content Specialist (1 Position).
The position reports to the Innovations Manager.
The main purpose of the job is to provide support in the development, launch and lifecycle management of all the content-based products and services as per the product roadmap and/or business needs.
Prime responsibilities of the position include:
* Defining the content strategy for all content categories.
* Evaluating financial viability of new mobile content initiatives.
* Managing multiple content initiatives of variable complexity and size in conjunction with content involving procurement, ingestion and reporting processes.
* Monitoring products and services’ performance.
* Content sourcing from content aggregators and providers from various areas within and without the business, in line with the content objectives.
* Designing processes and procedures to guide testing, implementation and the launch of new content.
* Formulating and co-ordinating tactical marketing initiatives.
* Giving support in the development and deployment of innovative content offering solutions.
* Preparing comprehensive literature for all products for internal and external use.
* Managing ail content on BTL channels for marketing and product communications.
* Supporting the consumer marketing team in content management on all social and corporate networks.
* Supporting the Segment Managers, Events Manager and Public Relations Officer in implementing content-based promotional activities-.
* Interacting with staff and management from all areas required regularly to support products and marketing strategies
* Conducting internal training with respect to all content services for support staff and relevant stakeholders
* Contributing to the reporting mechanism in liaison with the product analyst.
* Ensuring that a product or service profitably meets the needs of customers by monitoring and modifying the elements of the marketing mix over time.
* Managing contracts with third parties that have opinions to offer on new content services,
* Co-ordinating partner relationships for outsourced services in regard to content services.
Requirement:
The successful candidate must possess a Bachelor’s Degree or professional Marketing Qualification, and must be proficient in MS Office Application, especially Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
The candidate must have at least 3 years’ experience in marketing with-exposure to the telecommunications environment, and at least 2 years’ experience in content management and product development.
Furthermore, the candidate must have strong analytical skills, good communication skills, excellent organisational skills, planning and co-ordination skills and good writing and reporting skills. The candidate should be proactive, self-motivated, able to work under minimum supervision and willing to learn and unlearn. The candidate must be able to work well within a team, as well as be able to work under pressure and meet stipulated deadlines.
