Reporting hierarchically to the Finance and Administration Manager, the person selected will support the operation through activities related to finance.
Responsibilities
• Follow-up and participation to the budget’s making of. • Follow-up of the program’s financing contracts, taking into account the executed expense, the co-financers’ changing information requirements. • To guarantee the various co-financers norms are being complied in terms of project material purchase policies. • Responsible for the mission accounts (following conversations with the departments in question and in accordance with the administrator, and managing the movements). • To prepare the statements of payments and submit them to the Fin Admin Manager or the Mission Leader for authorisation before making any payment. • To request funds to supply the current expense account in order to make planned, recurrent payments. • In the absence of the Fin Admin Manager and whenever necessary, to be the reference person to explain colleagues the financial and administrative procedures of Intermón Oxfam, and to ensure they are met. • To participate in preparing the monthly financial and cash-flow plan with regard to the funding applications in Barcelona. • Monthly follow-up of the operating forwards and submission to the Fin Admin Manager. • To provide forwards requested by the logistics managers once the order has been approved by the Logistics Manager and the administrator. • To proceed with the payment of forwards on the salary and salaries along with the administrator. • To maintain a system according to the demands of the fund suppliers and to draw up possible audits.
Experience and skills
- Education in Economics or Business School, Accounting and Management
- A minimum of 2 years of experience in similar jobs and in humanitarian sector.
- Experience in project’s execution with funding from co-financers.
- IT: High level of excel. Knowledge of SAGA will be a plus.
- Languages: Proficient in English.
Working conditions
Contract of employment: Contract for 1 year. Salary: According to the Intermón Oxfam’s country salary scale (lodging payed by Intermon Oxfam and per diem). Social benefits: Medical, life and accident insurance and children benefit. Working place: Juba (Sudan) Non accompanied post Availability: 15th November 2011.
