Deputy Vice Chancellor FINANCE & ADMINASTRATION
Major Responsibilities:
The Deputy Vice Chancellor is responsible for planning, directing and controlling financial, human resources, administrative functions, and procedures nut in accordance with ECD financial regulations. He /She will report to the Vice Chancellor through the Administrative Committee. He/she will guide development and implementation of sound financial and administrative policies that ensure financial and administrative strength needed by the University to realize its mission and objectives.
Specific Tasks: •
1) To provide financial and human resource advice and guidance to the Vice Chancellor.
2) Research, prepare and submit and monitor budgets.
3) To provide leadership and direction to finance and administration staff to ensure efficient use of human resources.
4) Establish and maintain effective budgetary planning and central process for ensuring strict compliance to the approved budgets.
5) To prepare detailed reports on financial, Human Resource and administrative matters concerning the university.
6) Adviser to the VC and Management Board on financial matters of the University.
7) Provide leadership , guidance, coordination and direction in the four departments within the University:- Finance, Human resource, Administration and IT
Requirement:
Qualification and experience:
Minimum Master’s degree in Business Administration/Commerce, majoring in Accounting or Finance. A PhD or its equivalent in a relevant field will be an advantage.
At least 5 years progressive experience in senior finance and management positions.
Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA, ACCA
Experience in writing policies and procedure as well as process evaluation.
Advanced report writing, communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Advanced computer skills (accounting packages).
Must have High Integrity , professionalism and ethical standards A committed Seventh Day Adventist Christian.
Salary: - USD/month
