Duties and Responsibilities
Review the National Trade Policy from a gender perspective; Review other policies relevant to the ministry which informs the National Trade Policy such as; Sustainable Industrial Development Policy (1996-2020); Trade Development Policy; Agricultural Marketing Development Policy (draft); Export Development Strategy (draft) and Small and Medium Enterprises Development Policy.
Develop a coasted plan for implementation of the gender related issues in the revised policy.
Qualification and Experience
Advanced University degree in Business Administration, Law, Economics or Social sciences or other equivalent qualifications, with a minimum of 5 years working experience. Proven track record in research in trade policies, and in-depth knowledge of qualitative research methods.
Previous experience of working on gender equality and women’s empowerment in relation to trade and policy issues, computer literate, fluent in English and Kiswahili.
