PUBLIC HEALTH SPECIALIST
We are currently seeking a highly creative, organised, efficient and self-motivated individual to join our team as Public Health Specialist based in Montrose’s Kampala office. Key responsibilities of this position:
Responsibilities for this position include: • Technical oversight of and inputs on Montrose projects • Proposal development for competitive and non-competitive bids • High quality document development related to bids and project implementation • Developing job descriptions and supporting the recruitment process for technical personnel. • Identifying, supporting and overseeing consultants and personnel • Providing inputs on strategic decisions regarding expansion of the company’s work. • Technical representation of the company at global, regional and national levels.
Skills and experience:
• Masters in Public Health or related field • Minimum of three years experience working in international health • International experience working in a related field, preferably in Africa • Flexibility, initiative and adaptability, ability and willingness to take on different types of work • Able to travel within and outside Uganda • Excellent communication and writing skills in English • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail • Highly numerate • Excellent computer skills • Ability to work to tight deadlines and under pressure • High degree of flexibility and creativity • Good inter‐personal skills • Preference to those already located in Uganda or the region • Location: Kampala, Uganda with travel in Uganda, Africa and potentially Asia
