The European Commission is looking to recruit a
PRINCIPAL ADVISER (GRADE AD14)
(COM/2011/10310) from Bulgaria or Romania to be based in Brussels

The Directorate-General for Research and Innovation develops, implements and monitors policy initiatives to create a European Research Area. Focusing on gender issues within the research community, you will influence the thinking of scientific policymakers to address inequalities, promote inclusion and place gender at the heart of research content. In particular,
you will secure support for your initiatives among senior managers and raise awareness of gender issues to achieve our target of ensuring 40% representation of women in Commission
expert groups, advisory groups and panels by the end of 2013.

To join us, you will require a broad scientific background plus hands-on experience related to gender issues in research and innovation. At the same time, you should be familiar with
relevant EU policies and instruments, knowledgeable regarding our Framework Programmes and be an effective negotiator. Finally, it is vital that you are a citizen of Bulgaria or Romania
and possess at least a degree level education.
