Duties & Responsibilities
Under the overall guidance of the Public Affairs Legal Officer for the situation in Libya the incumbent is
responsible for producing design solutions with high visual impact of information materials and communication tools to inform and engage with a variety of audiences in the Arab world. The incumbent will be responsible for the following duties:
- To develop and provide design and layout for the Court's public information materials and other publications in Arabic consistent with the ICC House Style in order to maintain a consistent visual identity
- To actively support the Section#s activities preparing supportive communication materials including creative presentations
- Undertake a systematic review of media products
- To capture pictures and video footage to be used in communication products working with a wide range of media, including photography, illustrations, and Adobe design premium package software
- To follow-up on proofreading to produce accurate and high-quality work
- To contribute ideas and design artwork to the overall public information and communication projects
- Perform other related duties within the Section as required, including updating the ICC web site in the absence of the media designer for other languages.
Essential Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent diploma of higher secondary education;
- Proficiency and experience in using:
- Microsoft Office suite, including Access, Excel and PowerPoint;
- Comprehensive understanding of Internet-related publishing technologies (XHTML, JavaScript, aspx) and web authoring tools including Adobe Dreamweaver, Flash, and its relation with a range of browsers;
- Comprehensive understanding of camera-ready/printing technologies, general multimedia editing and Desktop Publishing Tools, including Adobe Photoshop Illustrator, InDesign, iMovie/Final Cut, Audacity/Audition/SoundEdit and QuarkXpress amongst others
- Analytical Skills Collecting, comparing and relating data from different sources; identifying issues, and anticipating problems.
- Client orientation - to be sensitive and responsive to the needs and concerns of clients/customers.
- Consultative Skills Giving effective professional advice to meet the identified needs of the client/customer.
- Flexibility/Adaptability Readily adapting to changing requirements; maintaining effectiveness in varying circumstances.

Work Experience
6 years of experience in graphic design, web development, audio-visual production, computer technology or a related field is required. A combination of education and experience will also be considered.
Knowledge of languages
Fluency in Arabic and English is essential. Knowledge of the other working language of the Court, French is highly desirable. Another official language of the Court would be considered an asset (Chinese, Russian, and Spanish).

The selected candidate will be subject to a Personnel Security Clearance (PSC) process in accordance with ICC policy. The PSC process will include but will not be limited to, verification of the information provided in the personal history form and a criminal record check;
