The Women for Women International (WfWI) country office in South Sudan
is seeking to hire a COOPERATIVE SUPPORT OFFICER, to be based in

JOB PURPOSE
The Cooperative Support Officer (CSO) will work closely with the
Income Generation Manager (IGM) and Regional Cooperative Support
Manager to establish profitable women’s enterprises. The CSO is
responsible for leading Country Office activities related to women's
cooperatives and delivering technical assistance and training to
program participants and selected graduates.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Assist the IGM and the Regional Cooperative Support Manager in the
preparation of program plans and training curriculum as requested.
2. Coordinate and deliver cooperative training to program participants
and selected graduates and ensure that organizational standards and
guidelines are met.
3. Collaborate with other staff and trainers to ensure that all of the
various types of training curricula are well coordinated in terms of
goals, objectives, expected results, length and frequency of training
sessions, equipment and supplied needed, and quality assurance.
4. Work with program participants and women's groups on a daily basis
to deliver cooperative support effectively.
5. Provide guidance to selected women's business groups and
cooperatives to help them become independent and profitable.
6. Communicate with local leaders or other local partners involved in
trainings.
7. Facilitate the sensitization of women to be trained in
Cooperatives.
8. Facilitate the preparation of lessons plans and maintain training
schedule.
9. Provide ongoing consultation and advice to existing cooperatives.
10. Ensure that accurate records are maintained related to cooperative
training and support, and provide timely reports to the IGM and
Regional Cooperative Support Manager.
11. Assist the M&E unit with evaluation of trainings.
Other Duties as assigned by supervisor.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
University Degree in Business Administration or any related
discipline (University Degree requirement may be waived if sufficient
number of years relevant work experience; but minimum of post-
secondary school Diploma is required).
At least three (3) years relevant work experience, preferably with a
NGO.
Significant understanding of cooperative development in the
country.
Demonstrated skills in creating and delivering training.
A team player with excellent communication and interpersonal
skills.
Good time-management, problem-solving and organizational skills.
Strong computer skills (MS Word, Excel, Power Point and email
applications).
Fluency in English required (reading, writing and speaking); fluency
in Dinka an added advantage.
Must be a citizen of South Sudan or a third country national with
valid work permit.
