London School of Hygiene & Tropical Medicine - Faculty of Infectious and Tropical Diseases, Health Protection Agency Malaria Reference Laboratory
We are seeking to appoint an experienced and motivated Biomedical Scientist to work in the HPA Malaria Reference Laboratory at LSHTM.
The successful applicant will have state registration with the Health Professions Council (HPC), have an MSc (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline, and be a Fellow of the Institute of Biomedical Sciences, or hold membership of an equivalent professional body. S/he will have at least four years post-registration experience in a routine diagnostic/clinical laboratory, broad experience in a wide range of molecular diagnostic techniques, and be able to comply with the Continuing Professional Development requirements of the HPC. Experience in diagnostic microscopy is an advantage.
The post is available until 31st March 2012 in the first instance, and is available immediately. Salary is from £30,915 to £35,511 per annum, inclusive.
