Kilimanjaro Christian Medical College a constituent College of Tumaini University in Collaboration with Duke University Medical Centre, wishes to announce and recruit competent and committed human resources to fill the post of Learning Management Content Specialist-LMCS for the Medical Education Partnership Initiative (MEPI) at the KCMC Campus.
LEARNING MANAGEMENT CONTENT SPECIALIST (LMCS)
The incumbent will sere as the Learning Management Content Systems (LMCS) specialist for the KCM College faculty of Medicine. He/she will act as the primary liaison with the LMCS Senior Analyst (Duke University) on how to create and manage a curriculum via an LMS; provides training in instructional technology resources and software applications to faculty and students on LMCS use, and other instructional technology applications that support e-Learning at KCM College.
Key job Responsibilities:-
This position will interface with Medical Doctors (on faculty) and other allied sciences specialist to gather course content as well as providing LMCS desktop support to students, faculty, and staff.
He/she will support the development and implementation of standard operating procedures for different user groups (i.e. course directors and course coordinators including faculty and students).
He/she will provide guidance and training for user groups, assign the appropriate LMCS user roles by configuring training environments by e.g. creating student’s accounts, assigning students to classes, and importing/exporting coursework including tests and assignments.
He/she will be required to provide ongoing contentconfiguration, modifications, revisions due to version control, and environment scaling at the direction of the dean of the faculty on Medicine to meet the college’s objectives.
He/she will assist in troubleshooting issues with and users and work with appropriate ICT members to resole local problems as well monitoring and responding of helpdesk tickets via the ticketing system.
He/she will coordinate, maintain and produce reports for the college’s e-learning environment for monitoring and evaluation to be utilized in progress reports.
Educational Qualifications:-
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration (Information systems).
Bachelors degree I education with experience of (Instructional technology/design, information Systems) or
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or directly related field.
Masters degrees in these fields can substute the minimum experience required.
Strong interpersonal skills, demonstrated ability to respond to internal needs (student and faculty).
One year experience with the administration of a Learning Management System.
Strong working knowledge of Internet/intranet, Adobe Acrobat Pro and MS Office (word, Excel, Project, Power Point, and Access).
Strong troubleshooting, customer service, communication, detail orientation, analytical and organizational skills i.e. ability to multi-task and prioritize projects in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
Strong team-based problem solving skills.
Experience working with HTML and web authoring a plus. Remuneration and Terms of Employment:-

Subject to successful performance, a two (2) yearly Contract with maximum period five (5) years will be offered to the successful Candidate with probationary period of Six (6) months.
