I-TECH Tanzania has two job vacancies.
Position 1; Distance Education (DE) Programme Manager
Position Summary;
This position will be responsible in providing program management, training and technical assistance to I-TECH partners and clients in support of distance education curriculum related projects in Tanzania. S/he will also provide specific technical support to the Centre for Distance Education (CDE) in Morogoro and other Ministry of Health and Social Welfare counterparts in order to strengthen DE Capacity.
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide leadership and overall management with regard to program activities to assure deliverables are met
Develop and manage the DE budget
Coordinate capacity development to CDE/MOHSW staff, faculty of training institutions, in-service trainers, pre-service trainers and curriculum developers, as related to the DE program
Ensure consistency of content across all DE deliverables, curricula & media products and alignment with national MOHSW guidelines Lead process for piloting training courses to orient and guide facilitators, observers and participants on use of tools and process to capture suggested changes to courses.
Required Education, Training & Experience:
Masters degree in Education, Communication, Public Health, or a related discipline with a locus on education, training and/or instructional ensign and/or extensive training experience.
Advanced experience with distance education initiatives
5 years work experience designing, developing, and/or editing professional-level training materials for adults, minimum of 2 years in a resource-limited international healthcare settings
Strong knowledge of curriculum structure and format
Demonstrated track record of producing education materials and training
Position Summary:
This position will support the curriculum Development Team to develop and deliver high quality curricula and training interventions in collaboration with I-TECH partners and Clients. This position reports to Curriculum Development Manager. S/he will also be responsible in providing instrumental skills to ensure that I-TECH training program development work is grounded I an appropriate theoretical foundation, meets accepted professional standards, and meets internal I-TECH standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Develop and adapt curricula, materials, and training tools in support of specific project objectives ensuring adherence to I-TECH training standards.
Design appropriate instructional materials according to funder requests, assessed needs, and/or
Support capacity development in instructional design and interactive training method.
Ensure high quality of materials, following both professional and I-TECH standards.
Required qualification
An advanced degree in Education, Communication, Public Health, or a related discipline with a focus on education, training and/or instructional design and /or extensive training experience in a resource-limited international setting.
2-3 years work experience designing, developing, and editing professional-level training materials for adults, minimum of to years for international healthcare settings.
Strong knowledge of curriculum structure and format, demonstrated understanding of learning objectives and their relationship to content.
Strong editing skills and familiarity with the use of a style guide Strong skill with Microsoft Word and Microsoft Power Point, and competency in Excel.
