SKILLS
• Bachelor's degree -
• 5+ years of experience in Medium Enterprise Banking Environment, using a consultative, solution selling approach
• 5+years experience managing a Relationship Management sales team
• Must-be extremely knowledgeable and experienced in the sales management process and associated sales generation, customer needs identification, personnel leadership and HR procedures and processes
• Must possess strong leadership, motivational and presentation skills in region location required
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
The Head of Medium Enterprises will play an integral role in the success of the group. Specifically she/he will be responsible for:
Attaining direct Standard Chartered Bank sales objectives for the defined strategic markets
• Working with the Head of SME Banking Botswana to identify strategies and tactics as well as developing a strategic business plan to successfully achieve the targeted sales for these markets .
• Driving the team on a daily basis to achieve stated goals and quotas. This will be accomplished by following account activity, close rates, time-to-close data, growth of Assets and Liability Books, FX Income, Cross Selling and strong pipeline management
• HEAD OF MEDIUM ENTERPRISES will help to oversee all. renewal business;-coach the team for success in ongoing account and relationship management ■
• Recruiting, hiring, training and developing competent sales people consistent with business needs and Standard Chartered Bank's HR policies is essential
• Managing both remote and local employees and must be familiar and competent to work with a combination of staff positions.
• Ensuring availability and successfully managing the internal resources (Credit Analysts, Product Management, Approvers, etc.) needed for success
• Communicating with his/her staff. Specific needs in this area are training and gaining best value for service offerings with each sale, and utilizing support staff appropriately
• Identifying and providing leadership to strategic sales opportunities with prospective customers and involving all appropriate staff
• Coaching, mentoring and development of both team and individual performance
• Identifying and sharing in process improvement; communicating better means to achieve sales goals, promote efficiencies and generally enhance the working environment
• Actively participating in all Sales Management Meetings * ' •
• Reporting: submitting weekly reports to management that reflect closed business, forecasted business, pipeline development and other management issues or concerns
• Process improvement: includes support to implement relationship management score cards, compensation plans, quality assurance for sales presentations and customer communication via sales teams, and defining and "delivering local events within the territory
