The Project Engineers will be responsible for supporting and strengthening service centers to increase access to a full range of services in hospitals and community clinics, working with medical equipment technicians, medical professionals, and equipment manufacturer representatives to repair and refurbish damaged and non-functioning public health system equipment – of varied types and complexity – and to actively build the capacity and skills of medical technicians throughout the project. The Project Engineers will conduct activities using a variety of means to collate and integrate a systematic engineering program and will be responsible for meeting and reporting to the Program Director and other senior health staff to exchange findings and make recommendations. Minimum qualifications for the Project Engineers include a Degree in Biomedical / Clinical Engineering with five to seven years experience in implementing projects in developing countries, with specific experience in biomedical repair and maintenance, and clinical service training. Although in the immediate term research is not an expectation of activity for this project, candidates with demonstrated experience in parametric solid modeling standards and research is considered a plus. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with ability to speak, read, and write fluently in English and French or Creole.
