University Research Co, LLC, a US-based international organisation, has immediate openings in its USAID Tuberculosis Project in the South African office. The USAID Tuberculosis Programme for South Africa is a project of the National Department of Health, supported by the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and managed by URC. This is a 5-year project to provide technical support to the National Tuberculosis Control Programme (NTP) in the control of tuberculosis throughout all 9 Provinces, in line with the National Tuberculosis Strategic Plan for South Africa, 2007-2011.

Multi-Drug Resistance and Infection
Control Trainer/Co-ordinator
The successful candidate will work closely with the MDR-TB Advisor and will be responsible for: * Developing training materials on MDR-TB and infection control according to national guidelines * Organising training for all cadres working in TB control, MDR-TB and infection control * Monitoring the impact of training delivered * Implementing the new guidelines on community management for drug resistant TB * Co-ordinating activities of Grantees in community management of Drug Resistant Tuberculosis * Disseminating guidelines to lower levels.
Requirements: * A degree in Nursing * Previous experience in the training and development of training materials
* Computer literacy * The willingness and ability to travel within South Africa * A valid driver's licence. A Master's degree in Public Health will be an added advantage. (Ref. MDR-TB/T)
Salaries will be commensurate with experience and qualifications.
