Legal Assistant
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelors Degree (LLB) from a recognized institution. In addition, the applicant must;-
- Have at least five (5) years experience of legal work in legal chambers handling legal matters for a busy organization, a Government department or an institution of higher learning.
- Be advocates of the High Court with current license.
- Be well versed and experienced in Labour Laws of Kenya.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Handling legal matters of the University.
- Advising the University on legal matters.
- Assisting the University’s lawyers in all court proceedings involving the University and giving advisory opinions when needed.

DEPUTY VICE-CHANCELLOR (FINANCE, PLANNING & DEVELOPMENT) DIVISION
Procurement Officer - Grade 12
Applicants must be holders of a Masters Degree in Procurement and Supplies or Business related field from a recognized university. In addition they must be holders of professional qualification in Purchasing and Supplies Management such as a Diploma in CIPS or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
They must also have at least five (5) years relevant work experience preferably in an institution of higher learning. They must be conversant with procurement systems and processes in public institutions and have excellent computer, and negotiation skills. Candidates who are members of a relevant professional body will have an added advantage.
Reporting to the Procurement Manager, he/she will be responsible for among other things, the following:
- Preparing and maintain annual tender documents.

ESTATES DEPARTMENT
Maintenance Officer (Kitui and Mombasa Campuses)
Applicants must be holders of a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering or Higher National Diploma in Electrical Engineering with five (5) years relevant working experience, three (3) years of which must be at a supervisory level.
In addition the candidates must:
- Knowledge of repairs and maintenance of building systems and equipment

Duties and Responsibilities:
- Perform the maintenance duties according to the University’s policy, rules and regulations.

CATERING SERVICES
Director
Applicants must be holders of at least a Masters degree in Hospitality Management. Those with a Masters degree in Public Administration/Business Administration with at least a Diploma in Hospitality related field will also be considered. In addition, applicants must:
- Have (5) years relevant work experience at a senior position in a large organization preferably in an institution of higher learning or in hospitality industry
- Demonstrate professional competence and experience in managing catering services
- Have a track record for integrity in business dealings, administrative leadership and teamwork
- Be conversant with relevant aspects of Information Technology.
Duties will include:
- Planning, developing and implementing strategies and procedures for efficient provision of catering services.
- Heading and supervising staff engaged in offering services to a large population of students
- Ensuring that university facilities comprising restaurants, and students dining hall are well managed and efficiently utilized.
- Putting measures in place to ensure that income generating outlets in catering areas are efficiently and profitably run.
- Prepare and control the catering services budget and make periodical sales analysis and reports.
- Organize the catering aspect of University functions and events e.g. graduation ceremony.
Chef - Grade C/D
Applicants must be holders of KCE Division III or KCSE C (plain) and above. They must have professional qualification of a Diploma Course in Food Production from a recognized Institution. In addition they must have at least three (3) years relevant working experience in a four (4) Star Hotel environment also have held the position of a chef de partie for not less than two years.
Restaurant/Conference Headwaiter – Grade C/D
Applicants must be holders of KCE Division III or KCSE C (plain) and above. They must have professional qualification of a Diploma in Food and Beverage Sales and Service. In addition, they must have five (5) years relevant work experience in a busy four (4) Star Hotel environment. They must also demonstrate
fluency in English and Kiswahili.
Kitchen Unit Supervisor – Grade C/D (Kitui Campus)

Senior Studio Technician - Grade E/F
Applicants must be holders of a Higher National Diploma in the relevant field or its equivalent from a recognized institution. In addition the candidates must:

- Ability to work with minimum supervision
The successful candidate will be expected to oversee and manage the university’s busy studio program, including overseeing and managing the recording studio, controlling the recording sessions and supervising the entire process through mixing and mastering.
