Job Objective
The role of the Institutional Strengthening Manager will be to provide leadership in institutional strengthening of CSOs at national level as well as for standardisation of institutional strengthening tools and indicators among APHIAPlus Projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee institutional strengthening of national level CSOs to enable them manage grants and cascade capacity to their affiliates CSOs.
- Manage standardisation of institutional strengthening approaches, tools and indicators.
- Responsible for co-ordination and collaboration with national CSOs and APHIA plus partners.
- Manage project resources including staff, finances and assets.
- Establish sustainable national level coordination mechanism for institutional strengthening.
Professional Qualifications
Masters degree in public health, project management, business administration or its equivalent
Relevant Experience
- Minimum five years experience institutional strengthening of CSOs (including leadership and governance, financial systems, human resources, monitoring and evaluation, advocacy)
- Institutional strengthening of large and small organisations
- Experience stakeholder engagement and donor reporting
- Experience with working with various government institutions including Ministry of Health
- Experience in project planning, implementation, monitoring and evaluation
- Experience with USAID funded programs will be an added advantage.
Length Of Experience
Seven (7) years work experience
